ACE Races have launched a new virtual race!

ACE Races have launched a new and unique virtual run which takes you to the bright lights, and glitz and glam of Las Vegas! The virtual run, Viva Las Vegas, is a series for all abilities, you can complete 1 mile, 5k, 10k, half marathon or a full marathon. 

The race is dedicated to The Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity, who provide emotional and practical support to families who have a child with life-threatening or terminal illness.

Today there are an estimated 49,000 children and young people in the UK living with a life limiting or life threatening condition who may require palliative care (University of Leeds, 2011). Many of these children and their families are able to cope or are not in a ‘crisis situation’. However, thousands of families have to face the very real possibility that their child may die and struggle to cope on a day to day basis.

The Rainbow Trust have captured our hearts and that’s why we decided to create a virtual run that donates to this charity. 

What is a virtual race? quite simply, a virtual race is one that can be done in your own time, however you wish to. This can be either walking, swimming, running, in a wheelchair, cycling, rowing and more.
