About this Virtual Race
Support Mountain Rescue and complete this whopping 130km distance. The Everest Basecamp Virtual Challenge replicates the distance of the Everest basecamp trek from Lukla to Basecamp and back again. How and when you complete the 130km distance of the race is entirely up to you!
Walk, Jog, Run, Cycle, Swim, Row or use gym equipment to complete the distance any other method. You can complete this challenge in one go or as many stages as you prefer. Receive a custom made medal for your efforts in the post whilst helping a great cause.
Charity Donation
This race supports Mountain Rescue England and Wales who are on call, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to recover climbers from precipitous crags, reunite lost walkers with their pals and ensure injured and sick casualties are safely delivered into vital hospital care. £2.50 per entry is donated to this charity.
All distance based exercise is accepted such as walking, running, cycling, rowing, swimming, horse riding, roller skating and more! You can combine methods to achieve your total distance.
After entering our challenge, simply download our app and start logging your exercise. Once all the distance is completed press submit. If you prefer manually do this and upload through our web form this is totally okay too!
